  1. Beautiful old photos: hooray for Polish-American conservatism. Just like Roman parishes of the period but seemingly with a homier feel (part of the PNCC’s appeal even today?).

  2. I think even today. Because PNCC parishes are naturally smaller everyone tends to pull together and to share more than just a Sunday service. People make real connections that extend beyond Sunday. I personally think that a lot gets lost in suburban mega-parishes where folks just drive-in, drive-out. Plus, it’s hard not to have a home like feel when you’re elbows deep in making goŁąbki.
