From time to time I’ve been asked, ‘Why are you a National Catholic?’ I plan to take a stab at answering that question over the next few weeks. As I starting point I’ve developed a list of 10 reasons I’m a National Catholic. I will elaborate on each in future posts. Stay tuned…

- We worship beautifully
- Unity in essentials, latitude in non-essentials
- Service is key
- Democracy and self determination
- Work and Labor
- I’m a (insert your ethnic identity here…)
- Close knit open communities
- The food
Great idea! I am looking forward to each of the 10 posts. And, if you
feel comfortable with them, I recommend that the PNCC publish and
distribute them widely. The Church needs to be more visible.
So am I. Based on your outline I think I completely understand some of them. The Eucharist, beautiful worship and close community go a long way.
